So yesterday I quickly post about a woman in England who is performing a series of shows in people’s living rooms. Novel idea, right? Well…….
Last night I’m hangin’ on MySpace and find a site for Concerts In Your Home. Evidently this is the next big thing. Who knew?
Thinking about it though, it’s not that odd an idea. All the marketing blogs and articles I read are correctly concerned about the saturation level we are all feeling with respect to advertising, marketing and blogs. You can’t go ANYWHERE without being bombarded. Add in extremely hectic lives, and the boomer generation – which is affluent as a whole, but not exactly the “go out and party at a music club” set and it suddenly becomes smart. And one more thing, what 20/30 something wouldn’t want to gather their intimate group of friends around a hip, new up and coming music talent.
