I’m running out the door, but must point you to two terrific – typical – posts from The Future of Music blog.

The first points out how global pressure is likely to bust the current music business model wide open. Which is good for consumers and you.

The second notes the corner that the major labels have boxed themselves into as they built their entire distribution solution around a hand full of stores. Stores that might be beginning to rethink the arrangement. The post also has an observation that I hadn’t heard mentioned before – that the labels blew the whole digital rights management problem when they began to sell CDs.

Great point.
