I just got a blogging introduction to Louise Setara, a UK artist who is playing a series of shows in people’s living rooms.
“What counts is being passionate enough to perform, without
amplification, in someone’s living room to a tiny audience for no
money: being sociable enough to do it with grace, wit and charm (and
thus be remembered as a nice person you’d want to support); and being
authentic enough to be just so damn good.”
Unique ideas are not always complex or particularly difficult to pull off. Sometimes they are simple and disposable. The trick is to NOT throw them out, give them some breathing room, and see if they’re something that actually might work.
